International Women's Film Festival in Créteil

First held in 1979, the International Women's Film Festival in Créteil welcomes directors from around the world, screening many films which demonstrate the great talent among female directors.With events such as debates on the programme, the festival remains concerned about the artistic, political and social engagement of women in the world via the medium of film.True to its original aims and commitments this festival fights against all forms of discrimination: race, gender, culture, and social class. The festival takes up the mantle from both feminism and cultural action: questions about images and modes of representation are central to its approach.
